1. Is there a free trial available?
Yes. All new subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You can explore the platform, run scans, review reports, and test all features before billing begins.
Yes, a valid payment method is required to begin the trial, but you will not be charged during the 14-day period. Billing only starts after the trial ends.
Your selected plan becomes active and billing begins automatically through Stripe. Your dashboard shows the exact date when the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before that.

A page view is counted each time a page on your website loads. For example, one visitor viewing the homepage, a services page, and a contact page will generate three page views. Your plan limit is based on total monthly traffic across all scanned pages.
1. What is the Reguweb script and why do I need to install it?
The Reguweb script is a small JavaScript snippet that you add to your website to activate our ADA accessibility widget. Once installed, it automatically displays the accessibility icon on your site, allows visitors to use accessibility tools, and enables us to run compliance scans on your pages. Without installing this script, the widget and scanning features won’t function, and your website won’t receive real-time accessibility enhancements.

To add your website to Reguweb, follow these steps:

  • Log in or sign up at https://app.reguweb.com
  • Click on “Sites” in the sidebar.
  • Click the “Add New Site” button.
  • Enter your website URL.
  • Select your plan.
  • Copy the Reguweb script provided and paste it into your website’s footer or header section.

Once the script is installed, your website will appear in your Reguweb dashboard, and accessibility features will start working immediately.

You should place the Reguweb script just before the closing tag of your website. This ensures the widget loads properly without affecting your site’s performance. If you are using a website builder or CMS (like WordPress, Shopify, Wix, etc.), you can paste the script into the global footer or custom code section so it appears on every page.
Script activation is instant. As soon as you paste the Reguweb script into your website and save the changes, the accessibility widget appears immediately. In some cases, you may need to clear your website or browser cache to see the update, but the activation itself happens instantly.

If the Reguweb script is installed but not detected on your website:

  • Check placement: Make sure the script is placed just before the closing </body> tag or in your site’s global footer.
  • Clear cache: Clear your website and browser cache to ensure the latest version of your site is loaded. Check for conflicts: Some plugins, scripts, or ad blockers may prevent the widget from loading. Temporarily disable them to test.
  • Verify installation: Ensure the script code is copied exactly as provided by Reguweb without any changes.

If the widget still doesn’t appear after these steps, contact Reguweb support with your website URL so we can assist you directly.

  • Shopify: Paste it in the “Theme.liquid” file just before the </body> tag.
  • Wix/Squarespace: Use the platform’s custom code or tracking code section, usually in the site settings.

Once installed, the accessibility widget will automatically appear on all pages of your site.

Yes! The Reguweb script is simple to install and doesn’t require coding knowledge. Most website platforms (like WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, etc.) allow you to paste custom code in the footer or header sections through their settings. Just copy the script provided by Reguweb and paste it in the designated area. The widget will appear automatically, making your site accessible without needing a developer.
Yes! You can remove the Reguweb script at any time. Simply delete the script from the footer, header, or custom code section where you added it on your website. Once removed, the accessibility widget will no longer appear on your site, and the scans or accessibility features will stop functioning.

1. How do I run my first accessibility scan?

——

Your accessibility score indicates how well your website meets ADA compliance standards. A higher score means your site is more accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

  • Minimum Score: 70% – below this, your website may have significant accessibility issues that need attention.
  • Ideal Score: 95% and above – this indicates your website is highly accessible and compliant with most ADA standards.

The score is calculated based on detected issues such as missing alt tags, colour contrast problems, keyboard navigation errors, and other accessibility barriers, helping you prioritize improvements.

In Reguweb’s accessibility audit report, issues are categorized based on their impact on users:

  • High: Critical issues that significantly affect accessibility (e.g., missing alt tags, broken keyboard navigation). These should be addressed immediately.
  • Medium: Issues that moderately affect accessibility (e.g., insufficient color contrast in some sections). These should be fixed soon to improve usability.
  • Low: Minor issues that have a minimal impact on accessibility (e.g., minor formatting inconsistencies). These can be addressed over time.

This categorization helps you prioritize fixes and focus on the most impactful improvements first.

Reguweb makes fixing accessibility issues straightforward:

  • Review the report: Check the list of detected issues and their severity (High, Medium, Low).
  • Use AI fixes: Many common issues, like missing ARIA tags or alt tags, can be automatically fixed using Reguweb’s AI tools.
  • Manual fixes: For issues that require custom changes, follow the provided recommendations to update your website’s code or content.
  • Re-scan: After making fixes, run another accessibility scan to ensure the issues have been resolved and your accessibility score has improved.

This step-by-step approach helps you systematically improve your website’s ADA compliance.

It’s recommended to run accessibility scans on your website at least once a month. Additionally, you should run a scan whenever you:

  • Add new pages or content
  • Update website design or layout
  • Launch new features or integrations

Regular scanning ensures your website remains ADA compliant and provides an accessible experience for all visitors.

  • Automated Scans: These are performed by Reguweb’s software and AI tools. They quickly analyze your website for common accessibility issues like missing alt tags, color contrast problems, or ARIA attribute errors. Automated scans are fast and can cover your entire site in minutes.
  • Manual Scans: These are done by a human accessibility expert who checks issues that automated tools may miss, such as logical navigation order, readability, or contextual use of headings. Manual scans are more thorough but take more time.

Using both automated and manual scans ensures your website achieves the highest level of ADA compliance.

Yes! Reguweb lets you track your website’s accessibility progress over time. Each time you run a scan, the system updates your accessibility score and records the changes. You can view historical reports, monitor which issues have been fixed, and see how your website’s ADA compliance improves over weeks or months.
